2026 is the 50th Season of the Seattle Mariners. On the first week-end of August there were multiple celebrations of the 50 seasons. On Saturday the top 50 players of the franchise over the 50 seasons were recognized. Earlier in the year fans were able to vote for their 50 favorite players. Some that Jim voted for were recognized. Of course they started at #50 and worked up to #1. Each player was announced with the years played and specific position if appropriate. Two players Julio Cruz and Dave Henderson are deceased. Freddie Garcia, Kyle Seager, Robinson Cano, and Luis Castillo did not attend.

Rick Rizz, our 41 season radio announcer, was the emcee for the ceremony. At the end it was announced that he would be going into the Mariners Hall of Fame next year. He was visibly moved and the fans were exceedingly happy for him.

Really glad we could attend, not overly happy that the Mariners lost the game against Tampa Bay.
