The Clinton LumberKings, a Single A affiliate of the Seattle Mariners, play at Alliant Energy Field, formerly Riverview Stadium that was built in 1937. The stadium received a major upgrade in 2006. All new picnic area, children's play area, and player clubhouses down the 3rd baseline. The stadium is very close to the Mississippi River. You can see a gambling riverboat over the fence. Clinton was playing the Dayton Dragons and lost 1-0 on a wild pitch. The box score was Dayton R-1, H-11, E-0, and Lumberjacks R-0, H-6, E-1. The field lines are RF-325', RC-401', CF-395', LC-335', LF-330'. Louie is the mascot and he was proclaimed "King of Midwest League Mascots" in 2008. Very good selection of food. The Garbage Pail for $5 contains waffle fries, onion rings, mini tacos, mini corn dogs, chicken fries & strips, cheese balls, and jalapeno poppers (picture below). One mid-inning activity is two children riding small pedal John Deere tractors. Another is the World's Series of Waitressing--the two waitresses try to memorize an order, go and get it and bring it back with the quickest and most correct being the winner. Matt is one of the bat boys. Fish flies where covering the pavilion in center field.
