The Buffalo Bisons, a Triple A affiliate of Cleveland, play at Dunn Tire Park which was built in 1988, seating 18,175. The park was built with two levels and the hopes that if a major league team was brought to Buffalo that a third level could be added. It has all seats and has some covered seating above the aisle on the first level. We bought tickets originally in this covered area as it was a day game and we wanted to have shade from the sun. Well there was no sun, but there was rain so it was a good buy. Before the game started at about 4:00pm the Buffalos inducted Torey Lovullo and Jeff Manto into the team Hall of Fame. We encountered our longest rain delay of 3 hours and the game started at 5:05pm. The game had to be played because the Bisons and the Durham Bulls would not meet again during the season. Because of sitting in cool air we only stayed for 3 innings of the game. The next morning we found out that the game had gone into extra innings with the Bisons winning in the bottom of the 11th inning 4-3. The box score was Durham R-3, H-9, E-2 and Bisons R-4, H-8, E-0. The field lines are RF-325', RC-367', CF-404', LC-371', and LF-325'. The team mascots are Buster T. Bison and Chip. Check out the seagulls on the tarp during the rain delay. Joining us at the game was our son's fiancee's mother. The last two pictures show the location where Buffalo Wings orginated. 2009 affiliated with New York Mets and new logo. Affiliated with Toronto and new logo in 2013. 2021--affiliated with Toronto, AAA team playing in East League, Northeast Division. |
