The Savannah Bananas visited T-Mobile Park in Seattle on September 19th and 20th, 2025. They played before two sell-out crowds of 47,000. Banana ball is very different from the normal baseball game. From their website. "It is the fastest and most entertaining game of baseball. Our players perform choreographed dances. Perform in over-the-top music videos. Our walk-ups are legendary. Bananas may be escorted to the plate by the Banana Pep Band. We are known for our epic scoring celebrations. We have the World's Talles Hitter .. . with Dakota "Stilts' Albritton who stands 10 feet tall." Scoring is via Points, whichever team has the most runs at the end of an inning gets 1 Point with the team with the most Points winning the game. There is a two hour time limit, which went over slightly to complete the 9 innings. Of Course the Bananas beat the Firemen 4 Points to 3 Points. The Firemen did choreographed exercises before the game. James Paxton, M's pitcher pitched to one batter tonight. Last night Jamie Moyer ex-M's pitcher pitched. You can see the 10 foot tall player (on stilts) as he hit, moved to second and then scored. Fielders caught fly balls behind their back and then tumbled forward or backward. If a fan caught a foul ball the hitter was out. The players who would normally be in the dugouts were out on the field edge the whole game. In between activities included a baby crawl with parents encouraging their baby to crawl to them. At least one baby did not like it and started crying. Pat Monahan sang one of his songs with the Firefighters dancing behind him. There was a race from center field of 4 men running to home plate to their girl friend. On my the winner got down on his knees and proposed, she said, "Yes!" Grandma Gladiators had two grandmas hitting each other with pool noodles. Then the crowd voted who was the most agressive, the one on the right in the picture below. Turn on your camera flashlight was rather impressive with a sell-out crowd. During all of this the music was loud an varied, 15 or 20 seconds of a song before moving to a new one. This is the first game I have seen that had no lines as the concession stands after the game began. I was sitting down the 3rd baseline at the end of the 200 level, so pictures are not the best quality taken with my iPhone. A once in a lifetime experience was quite enough for me.
