There are two museums at 18th & Vine in the heart of what was one of the country's most celebrated jazz and blues districts, Kansas City, KS. One is the American Jazz Museum and the other is the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum. The first recalls jazz greats Louis Armstrong, Duke Ellington, Ella Fitzgerald, Charlie Parker and others through audio stations, photographs, videos and memorabilia. The second recounts the formation and history of the Negro Baseball League prior to 1945. Displays include pennants, autographed baseballs, baseball equipment, photographs, and biographies.
