Goodyear Ballpark is the home of the Cincinnati Reds and the Cleveland Indians for Cactus League Spring Training. The ballpark opened in 2009 and has 8,000 seats and 1500 lawn seats. Cleveland was playing the Texas Rangers and beat them 12 to 6. The box score was Rangers R-6, H-10, E-3 and Indians R-12, H-10, E-2. This was the longest game we went to lasting 3 hours and 11 minutes on a pleasant evening. We attended the game with Gary and Ruth, Andrea's brother and his wife, and Gil and Erma friends from Lynnwood. The field lines are RF & LF-345", RC & LC-380', and CF-410'. Interesting very thin baseball in front of the ballpark. I'm not sure of the significance. Zizzy is the mascot. If you are hungry get tickets for the All You Can Eat Pavilion in right field--$30. Small field for the kids down the 1st base line. # 19 in grass on 1st base line is for Bob Feller and #10 on 3rd baseline is for Sparky Anderson. Several between inning activities--the usual mascot race, but different dizzy putter race where two contestants spun around a putter and then tried to putt a golf ball. Attendance 6,300+. Parking was $5.
