Spring Training March 23-29, 2017. We saw the first game on the 24th at Peoria Sports Complex which is shared by the Seattle Mariners and San Diego Padres on March 24th. We attended all of the games with Andrea's brother Gary and his wife Ruth. The Mariners were playing the Kansas City Royals and won 3-1. The box score was Royals R-3, H-8, E-2 and the Mariners R-4, H-5, E-0. The attendance was 9,017. Iwakuma was pitching and was the winner for the Ms. We saw Seager, but none of the other regulars from 2016. The field lines are RF & LF-340 and CF-410. Mid-inning race between Sonic Tater Tot, Hot Dog and Drink. Hot Dog won both days. There are 15 teams now playing in Phoenix area and each team's flag flies in centerfield. There is a Kids Zone outside the seating area on the first base side with a wiffle ball field. A new hugh video scoreboard was installed this year. On the 25th we saw the Mariners beat the Rangers 3-1. The box score was Rangers R-1, H-4, E-1 and the Mariners R-3, H-6, E-0. The attendance was 9,549. The weather was outstanding both days with temperatures in the low 80s. Parking is $5 next to the main field.
