Charlotte Sports Park is the home stadium for Tampa Bay Rays spring training, as well as its Class A Florida State League Charlotte Stone Crabs and Rookie-class Gulf Coast Rays teams. It was built in 1987, renovated in January 2009, and seats 7,670. The Rays were playing the Yankees and beat them 11-1. The box score was Yankees R-1, H-4, E-0 and Rays R-11, H-16, E-1. The field lines are RF-343, RC-384, CF-414, LC- 384, LF-343. The Rays had 6 homeruns. The first photo in Row 4 shows a two-run HR with the runners coming to homeplate. Nice scoreboard showing the line-ups and pitch speed. The scoreboard shows what the payer at bat did during previous at bats. The is berm seating from the end of 3rd to LF corner and end of 1st base side. Standing ia available all around the outfield. There are 5 suites behind home with the broadcast area above and 10 suites in RF. Between inning activities of t-shirt toss and build a burger, see pictures for the latter. Attendance was 7,985. One of two parks where we saw osprey nest on top of RF light standard.
