The Hannibal Cavemen is a team of the 15 team Prospect Collegiate League. The schedule for the league is 56 games long begins in early June and ends the first week of August. The league uses wooden bats. The Cavemen play at Samuel Clemens Field. The field is raised three feet above the outside area to protect it from flooding. The Cavemen were playing the Dubois County Bombers and lost 5-2. The box score was Bombers R-5, H-8, E-2 and Cavemen R-2, H-11, E-2. The field lines are varied RC-351'-375', CF-381'-403'-391', LF 376'-342'. No baseline measurements. The scoreboard is manually operated. The announcing area is on the third baseline at field level. At the end of the game all of the announcing team had their rally caps on. A train track is out side of the 1st baseline. Shoeless Joe is the mascot. A mid-inning activity had blindfolded contestants finding grocery items when called for and placing them in a grocery bag. There are 3 suites on each baseline. A foul ball crushed a driver's side windshield on a car parked in the parking lot.

Mark Twain Boyhood Home and Museum - The complex consists of several historic buildings and museums related to Hannibal's most famous resident. The home where Samuel Clemens lived between the ages of 7 and 18 was built by his father. The restored two-story fame house is decorated with period furnishings and contains interpretive displays. The museum has interactive displays depicting scenes from Twain's life and writings. Hours daily 9-6, June-Aug, Fee.

Mark Twain Riverboat - This triple-deck riverboat offers narrated sightseeing cruises on the Mississippi River. One-hour trips depart daily at 11, 1:30 and 4, Memorial Day-Labor Day: otherwise varies Apr-May and Sept-Oct. Fee.
