The stadium was built in 1996 and seats 4,513The RedHawks were playing the Wichita Lugnuts and lost 5-1. The box score was Lugnuts R-5, H-5, E-3 and RedHawks R-1, H-7, E-0. The field lines are RF-314', CF-408', LF-316'. The scoreboard is manually operated from the front, including the other American Association game scores at the bottom. Red Hawk is the mascot. This league plays with 3 umpires. Roger Maris was born and raised in Fargo and played at this field. His number is retired on the large baseball on the right field fence. There is a museum for him at the local mall. This is shown in the Other button. In the distance of one picture is a large red building. This is an indoor football stadium for North Dakota State University. Fake corn decorates the foul poles. Grounds crew changes the bases mid-game. Visiting North Dakota leaves only one state that has a professional baseball team for us to visit. That would be the independent league team in Hawaii. Will we see it, who knows? |
