The Rockford RiverHawks, a member of the Frontier Independent League, play at Road Ranger Stadium, which was built in 2006 and seats 3,079. Road Ranger the stadium sponsor is a gas station chain. The RiverHawks played the Evansville Otters and won 9-3. The box score was Otters R-3, H-7, E-0 and RiverHawks R-9, H-13, E-0. The field lines are RF-312', CF-393', and LF-315'. Attendance for the night game was 1,333. We saw the usual sumo wrestling, The mascot race was on bikes starting on the warning track in right center field and coming around and down the third base line to third base. The usual winner was the child. Rocko is the mascot. There had two cameras one each at the end of the dugout filming the batters and the crowd. No cover available if it rains. The stadium is, also, the home of the Rockford College baseball team. New Riverhawks logo 2007. Changed name to Aviators in 2013 with new logo.

Midway Village & Museum Center - This late 19th-century village features some 26 historic buildings. Permanent galleries house displays describing the city's history, local aviation pioneers and industry.
