The Dublin Leprechauns, a first-year team in the independent Pecos League, play at Fallon Field 90' in the Fallon Sport Park in Dublin, California. The Leprechauns were playing the Martinez Sturgeons trouncing them 18-6. The box score was Sturgeons R-6, H-10, E-5 and Leprechauns R-18, H-17, E-2. The field lines are RF-315', CF-375', LF-315'. Game time temperature was above 90 degrees. Game started at 6:06, it was scheduled for 6:30. There is no regular seating. Behind Home plate are three levels of raised concrete “blocks” about 12' long that you can sit on. No backs and they retain the summer heat, so suggest that you have some type of seat pad. No sun protection, though we sat in the back row in front the front of the concession pop-up tent that provided shade for us as the game went on. You can bring your own lawn chairs. Leprechaun player #24 Mike Sonn Jr., left fielder, hit a Grand Slam in the bottom of the 7th that pretty much put the game away for the Leprechauns. Pitchers bat. Two umpires, at home plate, was a woman. A later inning Martinez pitcher lost his cap on most of his pitches. A Martinez player was designated as a Beer Batter. He stuck out in the top of the 6th, so beer was _ price for the next _ inning. As the game went on the right hand batters dug a hole in the back of the batter's box and the catcher did the same. The Sturgeon's catcher did a great job in my opinion catching a lengthy game. Game was around 3 hours and 10 minutes. I would estimate between 75 and 100 paid attendance. Fouls hit outside the field could be collected by the children and turned in for candy. The balls being returned to the field for continued use. Kids ran the bases, home to home, at the end of the 3rd inning. The 50/50 drawing winner can win an additional $100 if they, standing on the mound, throw the ball into the gold basket located at home plate. Tonight's winner just missed to the right. SIP is a small vehicle that dispenses seven types of beer at the game. The owner delivers the vehicle to the game in a trailer and then drives it to the assigned location behind the seating area.
