Destination: The Pacific

Destination: The Pacific was one of the Signature Events scheduled for the Bicenntenial of the Corps of Discovery. It took place in Astoria, OR, Illwaco and Long Beach, WA.

The Corps of Discover II: 200 Year to the Future was a National Park Service Traveling Exhibit located in Long Beach. There was a self-guided exhibit and an auditorium with hourly programs. The Corps of Engineers, Bureau of Land Management, USDA Forest Service, U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, and U.S. Geological Survey all had exhibits. Some of the re-enactors were on site.

Row 1--#1-3-surveyor's tools, #4-Row 2--#1-music-fiddle, spoons, mouth harp. #2 & #-sewing moccasins, #4-members leaving St. Louis, #5-members returning to St. Louis. Row 3--#1-7,689 round-trip miles, #2-Row 4-#2-truck that carried display materials for Corps II, #4 & 5-re-enactors at the beach. Row 5--#1-4-whale statue at Long Beach.
