(re-enactor) |

| Gary Lentz from discovery presentations in Waitsburg, WA takes on the persona of Sgt. Patrick Gass, a member of the Lewis and Clark Expedition. Sgt. Gass spoke before the Sno-King School Retirees group on November 17, 2005. As had the other re-enactors been most enjoyable and a learning experience, so was Sgt. Gass. Sgt. Gass was the main carpenter on the Corps of Discovery and was very involved in the building of the winter forts for the Expedition. He was most impressed with the straight and strong logs that he found in the Fort Clatsop area along the Columbia River.
