We attended the game today with our friends Gary, Jennifer, Janet and Meg. We have previously visited Hohokam Stadium in 2007 when the Chicago Cubs played here. In 2014 the Cubs moved to Sloan Park and the Oakland A's moved from Phoenix Municipal Stadium to Hohokam Stadium. We visited again in 2024. The A's (Athletics, no longer Oakland Athletics as during the regular season they will be playing in Sacramento at the AAA stadium) were playing the Seattle Mariners winning 7-6. The box score was A's R-7, H-14 E-2 and Mariners R-6, H-9, E-2. Jacob Wilson had 2 homeruns for the A's. Cal Raleigh had a homerun for the M's. Mariners Luke Raley had 2 doubles, 1 walk, 1 RBI, scored a run, and robbed a A's homerun leaping at the right field wall. Max Muncy had a walk-off single to win the game. The field lines are RF-350', RC-385', CF-411', LC-385', LF-340'. Today was St. Patrick's Day so green was seen everywhere. The batter's boxes were green, and shamrocks were colored in the dirt behind them. Both teams wore green caps. The support team was dressed in green as well as “Paddy” who threw out the first pitch. Be advised that Terrace Reserved seats down both baselines are bleachers with backs.
