350 Baseball Fields 2002-2025 with the addition of 3 new fields this year
2025 Trip Report
With the beginning of the 2025 baseball season we decided that this would be the year to complete our Baseball Road Trip. We decided to end it at a nice round number of 350 baseball fields visited. The question was where were three fields located close together that we hadn't visited. Jim looked at the 27 fields that were available and we decided to do a circuit from Kansas City, MO. As the Kansas City Royals were playing just before the games at the three fields to get us to 350 we went to a Royals game first. Then we drove to Blackwell, OK to see the FlyCatchers. After a 4 hour drive to Blackwell we were disappointed that the game was cancelled because of two rain storms the previous day and early morning of Friday June 27th. We were able to visit Morgan Field and talk with some of the fans before the game was cancelled. The next day we drove 1.5 hours back to Wichita to see a Wind Surge game in a newly built stadium for us. We had been to Witchita two previous times for games in the old stadium. On Sunday it was a 3 hour trip back to Kansas City for a Hormingas game. Rain the previous evening caused that game to be cancelled as well. Two rainouts in three days. We were very disappointed as in the previous 347 fields we had been rained out only four times and not seen games in two parks because of other reasons for cancellation. Yes, in 2025 there are 24 more parks that we could visit, but they are so far apart that it doesn't make sense to continue the journey. Plus, Andrea says she is done traveling and Jim agrees with her.
